What an exciting month for our Youth Exchange. Firstly our six 2018 Outbound Students leave Wagga Wagga Airport bound for Sydney before joining with other students to fly on to their destinations on January 19th. They are embarking on a life changing experience where they will grow and learn so very much. I, along with their Sponsor Clubs and the District 9700 wish them the very best for their 12 month Exchange.
Leeton President Monique bids bon voyage on behalf of the Club to our outgoing exchange Student - Luke.
Our 2017 outbounds returned home on the 6th and 14th January and no doubt feeling somewhat homesick and missing friends and host families after spending 12 months overseas.
We have a “’Welcome Home ‘day in Young at the S & C Club on Sunday 4th Febuary commencing at 10am which is open to all interested especially Rotary Youth  Directors who may know of a student who is interested in Exchange. Please feel free to invite any  students who may be interested. Please contact SUE GORDON  email  gordonatmanton@bigpond.com to RSVP  especially if joining us for lunch and for further information.
Our Inbounds are nearly half way through their exchange and will soon be heading off to their third host families and they will catch up together at the ‘Welcome Home’’ day in Young as well as meeting the 2017 District 9700 Youth Exchange returnee’s.
I am looking forward to seeing the students and listening to their experience
