At the recent President’s Forum, District Rotary Foundation Chair David Kennedy, highlighted the fact he considered the Foundation to be the backbone of all humanitarian work carried out by Rotary over the last 100 years.

“Without the donation support by concerned Rotarians over that very long period many of the programs that we have run both locally by way of District Grants and Global Grants internationally just would not have happened” said David.

This year’s Forum concentrated on concentrated on encouraging our members to become involved in the District’s Centurion Club by signing up to donated $100 each year.

These donations are tax deductable and also gain points towards your Paul Harris Fellow recognition.

“Australians are known for their generosity to charities but at this stage only about 21% of our fellow Rotarians donated to our own charity – this we need to overcome to continue Rotary’s great works throughout the world” said DRFC David.
